Kari McClain Named Newest USDF L Program Faculty Member
Lexington, KY (February 5, 2024) - The United States Dressage Federation™ (USDF) is pleased to announce that Kari McClain has been approved as the newest member of the USDF L Program Faculty. Kari is licensed as an FEI Level 3/4* Dressage Judge and Young Horse Judge, as well as a United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) ‘S’ Dressage judge with designations in Equitation, Freestyle, and Young Horse.
Having successfully completed the extensive L Faculty Apprentice Program, Kari will now join the existing list of USDF L Program Faculty. When speaking of Kari, USDF L Program Committee Chair Joan Darnell stated, “Kari’s skills and knowledge as a judge and educator will make her a great addition to the team!”
Kari’s extensive experience in developing riders and horses along with her many years of experience as a dressage judge, rider, and coach make her an invaluable asset to both the faculty and program. Kari has earned her USDF Diamond Achievement Award, which recognizes those who have earned all USDF Rider Award medals and freestyle bars, with her bronze and silver both having been earned with distinction.
With all of her accomplishments and experience, Kari is sure to flourish in her new role and bring a wealth of knowledge to the USDF L Education Program Faculty, whose responsibilities include furthering the program’s objectives in preparing candidates to enter the USEF ‘r’ Judges Training Program, qualifying individuals to judge schooling shows, and giving competitors, trainers, and instructors greater insight into the evaluative process of judging dressage.
